What are the advantages of regenerative braking system of electric forklift?

What is the regenerative braking system used by electric forklift? The regenerative braking system converts the kinetic energy generated by the useless or unnecessary or harmful inertia rotation of the motor into electric energy, and feeds it back to the power grid, while generating braking torque, so that the electric machinery can quickly stop the useless inertia rotation. After the regenerative braking system is installed, whether the driver brakes by stepping on the brake pedal or by changing the driving direction, the motor will be in the power generation state, and its electromagnetic torque will be converted into the torque of braking nature. The electric forklift manufacturer told us that it has many advantages, such as simpler structure, less mechanical wear, more durability, easy maintenance, it’s a kind of non-contact braking.
After using the regenerative braking system, the maintenance and operation costs of the electric forklift are far lower than those of the traditional forklift. Moreover, the driving and braking efficiency of AC motor is higher. The energy storage device of the drive system will automatically start when braking or reversing, and regenerative energy will be generated when braking or reversing. The more intense the braking or reversing, the more regenerative energy will be generated. These regenerated energy will be sent back to the battery, and the battery will have a longer working time and longer service life. The electric forklift manufacturer told us that some traditional forklifts have also applied regenerative braking system after improvement, but this system can only be started when braking violently, and all regenerative energy is converted into heat, so there is no advantage.
