Many operators encounter the issue manual hydraulic pallet truck won't lift during daily warehouse handling work. This common manual handling equipment often suffers from lifting failure or weak lifting capacity. Most failures are not permanent damage, but improper operation or minor component issues. Basic troubleshooting skills help you resume operation quickly and maintain warehouse efficiency.
First, check if the relief valve handle returns to the correct position. If the handle stays at the release position after operation, the system keeps pressure releasing. Even repeated pumping will not lift the load. Switch the handle to the locked pressurizing position and pump the lever repeatedly to test the machine.

Second, inspect the condition of hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oil provides power for lifting. Insufficient oil volume, deteriorated oil or contaminated fluid will reduce hydraulic pressure and lead to lifting stuck or lifting failure. Add dedicated hydraulic oil when the oil level is low. If the oil turns dark and dirty, drain old oil, clean the oil circuit and refill new oil to prevent valve blockage.
Third, check valve jamming and seal damage. Long-term use allows dirt to block the relief valve core and makes the system unable to hold pressure. Toggle the release handle repeatedly to flush away impurities. If this method fails, disassemble and clean the valve core. Aging or damaged cylinder seals cause internal leakage and slight oil leakage, resulting in weak lifting. You need to replace the whole seal kit.

Fourth, look for mechanical jamming. Debris stuck in wheels, deformed axles or jammed fork rails increase resistance and create false lifting faults. Clear debris at the bottom and repair deformed wheels to restore normal operation.
Regular oil level inspection and equipment cleaning can greatly reduce manual hydraulic pallet truck fault probability. For complicated faults hard to fix on site, contact the manufacturer for spare parts and maintenance solutions. Feel free to send inquiries for support.
