The hydraulic system is a very important part of the electric forklift. As we all know, no matter how cheap the forklift is, regular maintenance is required, especially for the hydraulic system. How to properly maintain the hydraulic system of the electric forklift? Today, the electric forklift manufacturer starts with the gear pump in the hydraulic system to see how to maintain it.

To maintain the gear pump of the electric forklift, learn how to disassemble it first. First, remove the oil pipe joint, remove the fixing bolts, and remove the gear pump from the drive unit of the oil pump. Remove the fixing bolts on the end cover, and remove the end cover, driving shaft and bearing. Then remove the bolts and take down the front pump cover, elliptical seal ring, front backing plate, front side plate, bow seal ring, long shaft, gear, short shaft and other accessories. No matter how cheap the forklift is, the gear pump should be disassembled correctly before maintenance.
After the disassembly, we need to systematically clean the gear pump of the electric forklift. The standard to judge whether the cleaning is in place is that all parts must be free of chips, abrasive particles, veils and other dirt. After cleaning, apply hydraulic oil to the surface of each part. Then, the gear pump needs to be assembled. During assembly, the needle roller shall be filled in the bearing race without missing. The diameter difference between needles shall not exceed 0.003mm, and the length difference shall not exceed 0.02mm. Two small round holes on the side plate should be placed on one side of the oil drain chamber, and the side with unloading groove or wear-resistant alloy should face the end face of the gear. The bow seal rings on the front pump cover and the rear pump cover shall be installed at one side of the oil drain chamber. After the bearing is inserted into the side hole, its end face should be flush with the end face of the pump cover, or 0.13mm lower than the end face of the pump cover. When fixing the connecting bolts between the pump cover and the pump body, tighten them to the specified torque step by step. In the process of tightening the bolts, the pump shaft shall be rotated at any time to prevent blocking and reassemble. Finally, after assembly, rotate the pump shaft by hand to see whether it is flexible and whether there is obvious friction sound. The electric forklift manufacturer reminded that no matter how cheap the forklift is, the pump shaft should be pushed, pulled and shaken by hand to see if there is friction between the axial and radial directions of the pump shaft.

The above is the way to maintain the gear pump of the electric forklift. It seems to be troublesome, but this is an unavoidable step when maintaining the electric forklift. The electric forklift manufacturer suggests that you should follow the above requirements no matter how cheap the forklift is, so as to avoid many safety problems and ensure work efficiency.
