Now the visual navigation system applied to agv forklift was applied in the automatic production line at the beginning. In the visual navigation of unmanned vehicles, the technology used is to obtain the visible light signal through the camera, and realize the functions that the traditional small electric forklift can not do according to the analog visual navigation system.
In addition to visual navigation, unmanned AGV navigation now presents several navigation modes: laser navigation, magnetic navigation, etc. Nowadays, the world-famous AGV manufacturers have not made the visual navigation very complete.
Visual navigation is different from other navigation methods. The biggest advantage of vision guided AGV is that there is no fixed reference. However, in the process of agv forklift movement, the requirements for accurate positioning of vehicles and track components are higher and higher. Although the visual navigation system used in the automatic pipeline can reach the accuracy of 0.1mm, the positioning accuracy is usually not high based on the visual navigation AGV without fixed reference (pure visual navigation system).

If the car visual navigation system wants to achieve higher positioning accuracy, in addition to visual navigation, it also needs other navigation as assistance, and then try to use the visual system with fixed reference objects, so that the positioning accuracy and positioning accuracy are very good. Safety performance can be obtained.
In the long run, the development prospect of visual navigation system is still very good. On the one hand, visual navigation is the closest way to understand human "navigation obstacle avoidance". In addition to navigation, multiple cameras can also be used to check and record the operation details of agv forklift. AGV will eventually develop in the direction of artificial intelligence navigation.
The car has no visual navigation mode with fixed reference, which will be able to obtain a more convenient layout. Artificial intelligence navigation can completely solve the shortcomings of current navigation methods. Visual navigation has more advantages in hardware cost and maintainability.
