What To Do When Semi-Electric Stacker Runs Out Of Power

A sudden power failure of semi-electric stacker during operation leaves forks and goods suspended, which brings risks of cargo tipping and rack collision. Warehouse operators need to master standard emergency procedures to handle stuck loads safely.

Set up warning zones and protect personnel. Stop operation immediately and place warnings around the equipment. Keep irrelevant people away. The operator must stand at the side of the semi-electric hydraulic stacker, never under the forks or cargo, to avoid injury from falling goods.

Semi-electric Stacker

Release forks through manual pressure relief. Most semi-electric stackers are equipped with a manual relief valve. Turn the relief knob slowly following the manual to lower forks steadily. Never release pressure quickly, or the cargo may drop sharply. Stop the operation right away if the load tilts. Ensure the ground is flat and free of obstacles before lowering.

Find out the root cause of power loss. Check whether the battery plug is loose and if terminals have poor contact. If the plug is disconnected, reconnect it and test lifting at low speed. Do not repeatedly power on if the battery is drained or damaged, otherwise the controller board may burn out.

Power Failure Emergency for Stacker

Arrange follow-up work after emergency handling. After goods land safely, move the stacker to a safe area for charging. Do not store lithium batteries in fully drained status for a long time, as deep discharge will damage cells. Record the fault and inspect battery connectors regularly to reduce unexpected power cuts.

Emergency steps are only for temporary rescue. The faulty machine cannot be put back into stacking work before full maintenance. Contact us if you need support on semi-electric hydraulic stacker selection and maintenance.
